This week we are excited to announce that our Senior Spotlight is Lanea of Lake Howell High School. Lanea is an active member in her school community through her involvement in the Lake Howell Orchestra and their Step Team. Lanea brings her own unique experiences to her studies and she was fortunate to have two very influential adults in her life, her mother and her eighth grade Spanish teacher. “They have inspired me to be the best that I can be and that anything is possible as long as I stay dedicated,” Lanea says. For Lanea, the most challenging undertaking thus far has been being in the IB program during her early years of high school. “This experience has helped me mature. It has given me a preview of college!” she says.
Upon graduating high school, Lanea plans to attend Florida A&M University during the summer session to study Merchandising in the School of Business. This creative senior has big plans for a future in the fashion industry. She aspires to become a fashion merchandiser for companies like Macy’s . She is most excited to step into the real world and gain real experience working in the fashion industry. When asked if a picture is worth a thousand words, Lanea says, “Yes, they show emotion better than words can. Pictures are viewed differently by others and can bring out any type of emotion from pain to happiness and joy.” We wish Lanea the best of luck this year and after graduation!
